During his recent podcast, former WWE Producer Arn Anderson talked about why Cesaro hasn’t been pushed strongly over the years. Here is what Anderson said courtesy of Sportskeeda.com:
“He’s not a favorite guy, as you know, of the front office, for whatever reason that is. They’re the only ones that know because everyone else across the planet seems to think he’s a Superstar. But he continued to get leaned on to stop doing all that stuff [impressive moves] as a heel. It was just too flashy and all that stuff.”
Back in 2014, Vince McMahon appeared on Steve Austin’s podcast and talked about how he felt Cesaro wasn’t connecting with the audience.
In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Cesaro commented on what McMahon said:
“Especially with him saying that, it put that thought in people’s minds who may never have had that, so I feel like ever since then I had to fight an uphill battle with every single person in the company, because it’s almost like a kingdom where Vince McMahon sits at the top. If he says something like that, maybe subconsciously people go, ‘Oh, no, no, no, pick somebody else.’”
