As previously noted, Twitter account @WrestleVotes indicated that Samoa Joe was suspended for 30 days due to a Wellness Policy violation but Joe’s suspension wasn’t announced until a few weeks later.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that WWE does delay the announcement of suspensions until the timing is right. Meltzer noted the following:
“In this case, Joe, with his second concussion in a short periodof time meaning he could be out for a while, is serving the suspension at a time he couldn’t wrestle either way.”
With the suspension officially starting on February 24th, Joe will be back in time for Wrestlemania although he reportedly wasn’t booked for a match prior to the suspension. It’s still possible that Joe could be added to a multi-man match on the show when he returns. However, it’s still a question as to whether or not Joe will be able to pass a concussion test when his suspension is over.
